In tune with the theme chosen by UNESCO, "Turismo" is the motto for PortoCartoon - World Festival of 2017, organized by the National Press Museum.
Such a cross-cutting theme and of great implications in the world can not be unrelated to the critical analysis of comedians. Their contradictions are a good gimmick for the sharpening of pencils ... In this context, the humorous reflection that we have set out intends to bring a greater awareness of the precious patrimonial heritage of all civilizations, of their different cultural, social and environmental values. Because they are often contradictory, they serve as a strong inspiration for the art of humor.
At the exhibition is the cartoon of the artist Luc Vernimmen, winner of this year's Grand Prix. Entitled Sustainable Tourism, the Belgian design, born in Antwerp and awarded in several international competitions, shows us a red bus, which reads "Syria City Tour", which carries a group of tourists, entertained to photograph the destruction of the Country, as if it were any monument, as well as the honorable mentions.
