In 2014, the 3rd Festival of Live Statues of Vila Real took place, being an initiative of the Museum da Vila Velha / Town Municipality of Vila Real, by animating the most ancient part of the city.
Due to their different and innovative characters, an increasing number of visitors as well as those who are curious, seek the place in order to admire this form of "human art".
