Description
This route begins in Lamas de Mouro Gate, Peneda Gerês National Park, near the National Road 202 (EN 202), along oaks and pine trees. Letting behind the ruins of the old Castro Laboreiro breeding kennel, cross the medieval bridge to reach the mill of Porto Ribeiro. Passing through the village of Lamas de Mouro, take the path that leads to the Sub-Parque Eólico de Picos.

After enjoying the magnificent view of the plateau of Castro Laboreiro, begin to go down to the valley of river Trancoso, natural border with Spain. Once in the parish of Fiães, have a visit to Pousafoles, where you can hear curious stories of the “smuggling times”.
