The Interactive Tourism Store (ITS) of Felgueiras is housed in Casa das Torres, an emblematic building owned by the Municipality of Felgueiras displaying the so-called Brazilian Colonial architecture. It dates back to the decade preceding the 1920’s, having been built from around 1925 to 1917/18 by Mr José Joaquim Oliveira da Fonseca, a emigrant in Brazil from Felgueiras. This man is honoured in local toponymy, naming the street that goes from his former mansion to Largo Alexandre Herculano, towards Fafe.
The ITS is a place of information and education which strongly relies on digital and interactive ways of showing you our unique local products!
Casa das Torres also houses the Tâmega e Sousa Business Council, which makes this building an important hub for entrepreneurship and local/regional development.
