The International Living Statues Meeting is one of the highlights of street entertainment in the city, aiming to encourage and disseminate artistic creation in the performing arts.
This meeting is a privileged way of approaching art to daily life, where "Human Statues" do not stop to surprise the public for originality with technical accuracy and a rare plastic beauty of his creations.
The opening event takes place on Saturday night with "Lu(g)ar de Estátuas" that brings together in a magical environment, "statues" awarded by juries in previous editions of the Meeting. On Sunday, it has the usual presence of world record holder of immobility, António Gomes dos Santos, as a guest jury.
The event first appeared in 1997 and continues to attract people from all over the country.
