MAGUEIJA STONE PILLORY

Lamego
Description

The parish of Magueija has a stone pillory from the 16th century lifted in the small central square of Magueijinha, probably the ancient city council. The stone pillory, with very simple features, lays on a stone socle with five squared steps of coarsely carved stone, being the last one a little bit higher and headed towards the column base.
