The library of Celorico de Basto is installed in the Villa of S. Silvestre, the chapel and the manor house has been recovered. A Museum Center with 3 rooms was created, dedicated to the archaeology, with artefacts found in the county, to the press, composed by a set of machines from the old printing and examples of county newspaper. Subsequently the Documental and Bibliographical Center was created, it has received the collection donated by Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. The library has a collection over 160.000 documents in different supports, and develops animation activities, such as the hour of the tale for the little ones and the book fair. The library has also a garden, which constitutes a leisure space.
