The Municipal Swimming Pool Complex was inaugurated in August 2000; it was one of the biggest investments made in the area in the last few years, in terms of leisure infrastructure. This facility is open all year round offering various activities. In winter the indoor heated pools are open where apart from swimming they also offer water aerobics lessons. This space is also very important for the local schools as it offers activities which are part of the curriculum and sports education, which means that during the school year there are timetables which are only available to the schools. During the summer months the outdoor pools are available to the public.
