The Ribeiro da Conceição Theatre was built in the 18th century and its façade, which remains preserved, is a good example of Baroque architecture from the 1st half of the 18th century in our country. It was acquired in 1924 through a public auction by José Ribeiro da Conceição, who built the theatre with the same name. This Theatre is a reference in terms of cultural infrastructure in our municipality and region; it has 417 seats, and is the largest performance venue in the Douro Region.
