Rua da Junqueira (Junqueira Street)

The earliest reference to this street that links the city urban center with the beach and the sea dates from 1694. It is a reserved area for pedestrians having a fundamental role in the urban city planning, since 1955. It is rich in buildings from the nineteenth and early twentieth century, being an excellent shopping street with a strong sense of meeting place.
