Sacred Art Museum

Vila Nova de Famalicão
Description
On a hill overlooking the city of Vila Nova de Famalicão, on the north side, is the Chapel of Lapa which was built in the year of 70’s of the 16th century, with the celestial Patron Saint, St. Sebastião.

Privileged place, enriched past memories with traces of history and a common experience, the chapel was transformed into a museum dedicated to sacred art, in 2001.

The Sacred Art Museum of Religious Art preserves in its interior the values that were linked to the Catholic religion, devotional pieces, decorative and functional pieces, in addition to a historical archive of the Arciprestado of Vila Nova de Famalicão.
