Nossa Senhora da Assunção Sanctuary
It is located on top of the Monte da Assunção, in a wooded area with a great panoramic view over the city of Santo Tirso. This sanctuary was designed by the architect Korrodi in 1919 to replace the Old Chapel. It is a granite construction, in neo-Romanesque style, with cruciform plan according to the revivalist taste of the second half of the XIX century.
How to get to Nossa Senhora da Assunção Sanctuary:
Through A3, coming from Porto or Valença, on the way out to Santo Tirso. Take EN.319 towards Paços de Ferreira.
