Located on the round Mountain of the Santuário Mariano da Senhora da Luz (Marian Sanctuary of Our Lady of Light) , it is the only relief in the municipality that reaches almost 900 meters, and where, the most important festival of Miranda and the neighboring areas of Lyon takes place on the last Sunday of April. The small chapel is in the center of the fortified settlement, which is divided by the border in two. On the west, the row of oaks in the yard rises over the wall and extending to the other circle, that is best preserved at the eastern end. Being the highest viewpoint of the municipality, it reaches the most furthest views – “L Praino, a palnura agricola mirandesa”the agricultural mirandesa plateau, colliding with the rows of chestnut trees beyond – and endless Spanish lands…
