Description
Solar dos Carvalhos is a noble house from the mid–18th century ordered to be erected by Paulo de Carvalho, uncle of the Marquês de Pombal. The solar architecture is split into two almost symmetrical bodies joined by a rococo chapel, with the characteristic golden shell of stonework and the whiteness of the whitewashed walls. The main façade has a coat of arms.
