The Amarante House of Art is a result of the transformation and adaptation of the old Amarante gaol into a modern cultural and teaching facility. This facility is located on the northern side of town, Campo da Feira, and consists of two floors housing administrative services, rooms for teaching several disciplines of music and ballet, a multi-use room for teaching and exhibitions, a multimedia and audiovisual library and a 122-seat auditorium, equipped with a stage for shows, exhibitions and conferences.
