The Fórum Cultural de Cerveira (Cultural Fórum of Cerveira) is known as the main house of the Biennial de Cerveira (Cerveira Biennial), an event that, every two years, brings contemporary art to the streets and other structures of Vila Nova de Cerveira. But, the Fórum Cultural is much more than that. It is divided by three pavilions. The first pavilion houses the Cerveira Biennial Foundation and its museum that, since 1978 until the present days, gathers several works. The main mission of the Foundation is to promote the contemporary art. Besides organizing the Biennial of Art, the Foundation maintains a diverse annual program and encourages training in artistic and cultural areas. The second pavilion houses fairs, exhibitions and other events. In the third pavilion there is an auditorium for the shows. The third pavilion is also the head office of the Incubadora de Indústrias Criativas Bienal de Cerveira (Creative Industry Incubator of Cerveira Biennial) which is a structure with several rooms, offices, workshops and exhibitions spaces that supports the different projects – from film and visual arts to crafts and restoration.
