Description
It is an old street of the historic centre. Today it is one of the busiest shopping streets of the city. In this street there are buildings of great architectural interest, such as the building of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos, of the architect Ernesto Korrodi, the building numbered from 121-129, work of the architect José Vilaça; the House Mathias Gonçalves da Cruz, with the numbers 79-83, decorated with colorful tiles and also a building with a Renaissance style façade, punctuated by several floors representing the Greek orders, among others.
