Any visit to Santa Maria da Feira is not complete without a stroll through its historical centre, where one can taste the famous Fogaças. With its round format and the four beaks that represent the four turrets of the Castle’s keep, the Feira Fogaça, an icon of the region’s confectionery, is produced every day in several specialized houses in the municipality and distinguishes itself by the traditional way it is prepared and put into the oven.
