O 1st Music Cycle of Ancient Hair Interior do Património returns in outubro for three concerts starring Iberian Ensemble:
-23 out, Saturday, 9pm: Igreja de Santo André de Vila Boa de Quires, Marco de Canaveses.
At entry we are free, subject to lot of two spaces, by check-in order.
Or Iberian Ensemble, directed by Alexandre Andrade, an ancient music group that dedicates two seventeenth and eighteenth secles to its historical performance to the repertoire. Starting with instruments of the time, such as a baroque flute, viola da gamba, baroque cello, cravo, its programs seek to show the great composers of European reference, bem as the Iberian baroque mestres.
The repertoire of the I Cycle of Ancient Music by Interior do Património contains works by Carlos Seixas (1704-1742), Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757), Arcangelo Corelli (1653-1713) and Pedro António Avondano (1741-1788).
O Ciclo de Música Antiga conta as support of the Direção-Geral das Artes, do Centro Cultural de Amarante (CCA), da Rota do Românico, da Comunidade Intermunicipal do Tâmega e Sousa, da Real Irmandade da Rainha Santa Mafalda do Mosteiro de Arouca, da Municipal Chamber of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo e da Diocese do Porto.
