RAIMUNDO FERNANDES, A COLLECTOR OF GUIMARÃES
Throughout his life, Raimundo Fernandes collected hundreds of objects linked to Guimarães and his region. He accumulated coins, painting, sculpture, photography, medal and other artifacts of vimaranense, with special emphasis on the figure of Afonso Henriques. This is the moment when the estate of Raimundo Fernandes - or rather, part of it - is shown and shares in this same form and condition, a cabinet of curiosities where Guimarães fits in and in the world a persistent, obsessive and memorialist cause: an atlas of all things Guimarães.
