The first concert of the 10th edition of the International Festival of Iberian Organ already happens on March 17th, at 7:00 p.m. Italian duo Ubaldo Rosso and Giampaolo Di Rosa start the show with a transverse flute duet and organ, in a repertoire that will feature works by Vivaldi, Bach and moments of improvisation.
In a year where the Iberian organ gains special attention in the region of Minho, the organization highlights the alignment in everything similar to the previous years, but also the sense of responsibility in maintaining the tradition of an odd poster in the musical quality. The profile for the 10th edition of the Iberian Organ Festival is international with active organists in Portugal, Romania, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Germany.
In the eight concerts possible to watch in this edition of FIOI there are also names such as Romanian Felician Rosca (April 14), Italian Paolo Bougeat (May 19), Germans Władysław Szymański (June 16) and Franz Hauk (September 22 ), the Slovak Stanislav Surin (July 21), the "our" resident Giampaolo Di Rosa (October 20) and Giulia Biagetti (October 31). Among ancient organists, FIOI also looks to new composers who embrace this instrument of true sound quality for the first time in their careers.
