In the heart of Old Street and Mondim de Basto Historical Center, the current House of Culture is one of the obligatory references of our collective imagination. It was here the first fire station and the most important headquarters of the local association. It was assumed, over generations, as the cultural center par excellence, leisure space, community and youth training. Memories persist of theatrical performances, the cinema projection and exhibition of musical groups that were born there which marked our region.
