Is one of the references of the ancient times of the lands of Oliveira de Azeméis. The Milestone was found in the demolition of the previous church of Ul, at the end of the XVIII century and included in the wall of a nearby House. Later was in the entrance of the Town Hall. Finally, was set up near the Parish Church, on the route of the old National Road Nº 1. The Milestone marks the twelfth Mile of the Roman military route connecting Coimbra to Gaia and it was built between the years 23 and 24 of our age, in the period of Emperor Tiberius.
