The ‘Pelourinho de Prado’, dated 16th century. XVI, is situated in Largo Comendador Sousa Lima, in the Vila de Prado. It has a square platform with two steps, which is based on a circular base with smooth shaft column and bearing on their surfaces the weapons of Dom Manuel, a collaborating sphere on the right and on the left a stone of arms of Sousa de Prado. In addition to its architectural and sculptural value, the Pelouring of Prado represented an important landmark part of the Court town of Prado, extinct as a municipality in the year 1855.
