Portuguese Way to Santiago

Valença
Description
Valença is a point of convergence of the Portuguese Central Way and the Coast, with unique Jacobean brands, mirrored in monuments, stories and legends. In Valença the magic of the way is felt with moments as singular as the one standing in Portugal and another in Spain, in the middle of the bridge, on the river Minho, with the Fortaleza behind and the Cathedral of Tui in front.
To cross the Caminho da Costa here is to immerse yourself in a prodigious nature marked by the banks of the Minho River, the Veiga da Mira Biotype, coincide with the Ecopista route, or the Roman / Medieval markings of the bridges of Chamosinhos and Veiga da Mira.
To know the Fortress is to go through the memories of 2000 years of the most remarkable pages of the historical adventures of Portugal and Spain, engraved in granite stones. A jewel of bracketed military architecture, with 5 km of wall, a living and multicultural fortress, candidate for UNESCO World Heritage.
The house, the military buildings, the churches, the views of the river Minho, the old metal bridge and medieval Tui, are completed in a unique frame.
