Senhora d’Alegria Belvedere can be accessed by car or on foot, through an elegant stairway and stands 630 m high. This belvedere overlooks the typical houses of the region and the breathtaking landscapes of the mountains around it. The historical and picturesque village of Riodades is worth a visit. The chapel of Sra. da Alegria can also be accessed by car or on foot, through an elegant stairway. This well preserved treasure is located far removed from the roads and the major urban centres and is part of a centuries old heritage. This heritage was built slowly but surely and it therefore has a very strong and typical human effort put into it.
