The Requeixo House opened as rural tourism facility in 1986 and has, therefore, a great experience in welcoming visitors. The history of this house goes back to the 16th century, the period of its foundation. Besides its historical value, the building presents typical features from traditional architecture and is surrounded by one of the most beautiful scenarios of the region.
This accommodation is certified by SATIVA (certifier entity recognized by the Portuguese Ministry of Agriculture) such as Organic Producer in conversion stage. The Requeixo House is also one of the three accommodations of the council of Póvoa de Lanhoso certified such as “Biotourism Accommodation”. The guests can have an organic breakfast or can participate in the agriculture tasks and to pick products of the plot for them meals.
