Curtas Vila do Conde, which normally takes place in the month of July, will take place this year between the 3rd and 11th October, presenting a new format adapted to the new reality and consumption habits. The international festival dedicated to cinema again occupies the northern coastal city with a diversified program that will mix cinema, music and the visual arts, and which will once again have as central spaces the Municipal Theater of Vila do Conde, the Municipal Auditorium and Solar - Cinematic Art Gallery, but it will also promote a set of initiatives in an online format, thus expanding its area of action and allowing the meeting between the audience and filmmakers to also take place in a virtual environment, in a safe and close manner. In this way, sessions in VoD format will be programmed, as well as debates, interviews and masterclasses taking place online. The main focus of Curtas' programming is dedicated to its competitions: International, in which we can watch an exhibition of the best short films produced during the last year worldwide; Portuguese, with premieres of films that showcase the best done in Portugal; Experimental, dedicated to the vanguard and innovation of the format; Music Videos, which explores the connection between music and the seventh art, and Take One!, which features new directors and school films.
