The apple is the “queen” in Armamar. Its quality is recognized at national level and its weight in the economy of the region is relevant. The South side of the municipality is marked by extensive apple orchards that give to this area near the Douro a unique contrast. The mountain apple route makes known the apple orchards from blossoming till harvest and storage. Everything that happens with the apple till its tasting is shown through this multisensory route.
