The Association of Friends of the River Ovelha (AARO), in the municipality of Marco de Canaveses, will promote the fourth action to clean the banks of the River Ovelha, in Marco de Canaveses.
The initiative will take place on October 20, between 9h00 and 12h30.
The event begins next to the Ponte do Arco, in the parish of Várzea, Aliviada and Folhada, with the presence of architect Luís Sousa, who will talk a little about the construction that approaches the two banks.
Entries end October 17th and are free but required and must be submitted via the https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1 link.
The organization calls for participants to bring in trash bags, appropriate tools for the task and “willingness to take care of the rivers”.
At the end of the initiative there will be a social lunch. According to AARO, this action, which takes place on the Day of Joint Action for Nature - Ecological and Environmental Convergence, aims to “draw attention to the preservation of a natural heritage, the rivers, by inviting local people to participate in cleaning with the intention of to bring them to value and approach a common good, with so much natural and historical wealth.
