The Gastronomic Weekends of Porto and Northern Portugal open the door to a unique and unforgettable experience!
We are celebrating another edition, the tenth one, with news and surprises, which can not be missed.
The animation proposed for the Gastronomic Weekends is part of the celebration of the liturgical feast of S. Gonçalo which is celebrated on the day of his death, on 10 January.
S. Gonçalo has honors of Patron of Amarante and his memory is celebrated on two occasions in the year: on January 10 date of his death and on the first weekend
of June, with the great festivals of the city.
- We invite everyone to visit the Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Municipal Museum, the Church of S. Domingos and the Casa da Granja. (free entrance)
- We suggest the visit to CIMMA (Interpretive Center of the Memories of the Holy House of Mercy of Amarante), Museum of Sacred Art in the Church of S. Domingos and to the Acácio Lino Museum in Travanca.
- Douro Tâmega Expedições has scheduled for this weekend (the 14th) the 8th walk in the Caminhos de São Gonçalo.
This journey takes place on the pilgrimage route that coincides, in this case, with the Camino de Santiago. For more information stay tuned to the Association page.
