Senhora do Monte Belvedere, also known as Nossa Senhora do Vencimento, stands 781 m high on the Senhora do Monte Mountain in São João da Pesqueira. Here you can find next to a small pine forest and almond grove a tiny chapel in honour of Senhora do Vencimento. Above the 781 metres altitude, this belvedere is famous for its views over nearly the whole council of S. João da Pesqueira. Facing west and north of the council, we have the wine growing council of “Douro World Heritage Site”, the river, the valleys, and the large farms. Facing east, the town of S. João da Pesqueira and, on the northern side, the mountainous and granite landscape. It’s worth seeing this world of contrasts.
The outdoor facility may be visited at any time of day, so no booking is required.
