The Quinta do Panascal, dating from the eighteenth century is the most important of the three magnificent properties of Fonseca. It is a beautiful property overlooking the river Távora offering its visitors a paradisiacal atmosphere.



In 1992, Quinta do Panascal was one of the first properties of the Douro to open their doors to visitors.



This farmhouse offers a very educational visit in audio-tour system which allows visitors to have not only a direct contact with vineyard located in the Távora Valley but also enjoy a paradise setting. The audio tour also includes entry to the secular presses of the farm and has an average duration of 30 minutes, allowing each visitor to visit at his own rhythm and is available in nine languages: Portuguese, English; French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Danish and Japanese.



In the living room, from which you can enjoy beautiful scenery, visitors can taste three wines from Porto Fonseca: Sirocco (extra dry white), BIN # 27 and Tawny 10 years. The price per person for this experience is € 5 (five euros).



During the harvest, you can see all the work of picking grapes and trample it on the mills. In the property the best grapes are trodden using this secular method.



In the visitor center you will find a small shop with full range of ports produced by Fonseca and also an excellent organic olive oil from the farm Santo António.
